Sights to Visit in Charleston

“Charleston, South Carolina named #1 US City Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Award for the 5th Consecutive Year.”

Battery Park is a very historic location, having been through many wars like the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 there are many historic Landmarks like the famous Battery Mansions and the Charleston Harbor.

Fort Sumter is visible from Battery Park and is where the first shots of the Civil War occurred. Since the only way to get to Fort Sumter is by water there are daily ferries that leave from the Fort Sumter Visitor Education Center at Liberty Square and Patriots Point.

The Charleston Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 8AM to 2PM in Marion Square. There is live music and parking at the Francis Marion Garage or on the street. The market is located nearby many  restaurants, stores, museums, and the College of Charleston.

Folly Beach is one of the many beautiful beaches that Charleston is known for. There are many restaurants to choose from, water sports rentals, a beautiful pier, and a gorgeous view of the Morris Island Lighthouse. There are seasonal lifeguards and the beach is located within the Folly Beach County Park.
